A note from us
Hi friend — Lola, Stitch, and the small human team behind The Frenchie Kitchen put this together so you know exactly what happens with your information when you visit our site, buy a cookbook, or sign up for our newsletter. We've tried to write it in plain language, but it's still a legal document, so we've kept the precise bits intact.
By using itslolaandstitch.com(and any of our subdomains, sales pages, or order forms), you agree to the practices described below. If something here doesn't sit right with you, please don't use the site — and reach out so we can talk it through.
We collect what we need to take your order, deliver your cookbook, and send you stuff you asked for. We don't sell your data. You can ask us to delete it at any time.
Who we are
The Frenchie Kitchen and Lola & Stitch are operated by JDMC Ventures LLC, a limited liability company organized in the State of Florida, United States. When this policy says "we," "us," or "our," it means JDMC Ventures LLC.
For privacy questions, you can reach us at support@itslolaandstitch.com.
What we collect
We only collect information that helps us run the site and serve you. Here's the full list:
Information you give us
- Order info — name, email, and billing address. Full payment details (your card number, CVV) go directly to our payment processor Stripe — we never see or store them.
- Newsletter & lead capture — email address and any preferences you set. If you sign up for our free recipe pack, we associate the request with your email so we can send the download.
- Messages — anything you send us by email, contact form, or social DM.
Information we collect automatically
- Device & browser — type, operating system, screen size, language, and similar technical details.
- Usage — pages you visited, how you got here (referring URL), and rough timing.
- Approximate location — derived from your IP address (city/region level only, never precise GPS).
- UTM parameters — if you arrived from a marketing campaign, we record the campaign tag so we can measure performance.
What we don't collect
We don't collect your social security number, your dog's medical records, or anything you didn't intend to share. If we ever ask for something sensitive, we'll explain why first.
How we use it
We use your information to:
- Process orders, deliver your cookbook PDF, and email receipts.
- Send the newsletter you subscribed to (you can unsubscribe in one click).
- Reply when you write to us.
- Improve the site — fixing bugs, understanding which recipes people love, making things faster.
- Detect fraud, prevent abuse, and keep the site secure.
- Comply with legal obligations (taxes, court orders, that sort of thing).
We will never sell your personal information. We will never share it with advertisers for them to retarget you across the web on our behalf.
Who we share it with
We share information only with trusted service providers who help us run the business, and only the minimum they need to do their job. These include:
- Stripe — to process payments, calculate sales tax, and prevent fraud.
- Kit (ConvertKit) — to send order confirmations, deliver the free recipe pack, and manage our newsletter list.
- Supabase — our database and PDF storage host. They store your lead and order records.
- Vercel — our website hosting provider. They process server requests and run our site.
- Analytics providers — to understand aggregate traffic patterns. See our Cookie Notice for the current list.
We may also share information when legally required — e.g. in response to a subpoena, to enforce our terms, or to protect someone's safety. If we ever sell or merge the business, your data may transfer to the new owner under this same policy.
Cookies & tracking
We use small text files (cookies) and similar technologies to make the site work, remember your preferences, and understand how it's used. The full breakdown — including how to turn them off — lives in our Cookie Notice.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access — ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct— ask us to fix anything that's wrong.
- Delete — ask us to erase your data (subject to a few exceptions, like records we have to keep for tax purposes).
- Object & restrict — tell us to stop or limit certain uses.
- Portability — get your data in a machine-readable format.
- Withdraw consent — at any time, with no penalty.
To exercise any of these, email support@itslolaandstitch.com. We'll respond within 30 days. We won't discriminate against you for using your rights.
You have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know what categories of information we collect and the right to opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" of your data. We don't sell your data — but you can still submit a request, and we'll honor it.
Children's privacy
The Frenchie Kitchen is for adult dog parents. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has given us their information, please email us and we'll delete it.
How long we keep data
We keep your information only as long as we need it for the purposes described above, or as long as the law requires. Practically:
- Order records— 7 years (for tax & accounting).
- Newsletter list — until you unsubscribe.
- Site analytics — up to 26 months in aggregated form.
- Support emails — up to 3 years after the conversation ends.
How we protect it
We use industry-standard encryption (HTTPS for the site, encryption at rest with our hosts), limit access to the people who need it, and review our practices regularly. No system is 100% secure, but we do our genuine best — and if a breach affects you, we'll notify you as soon as we're legally permitted to.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the business changes. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top. For material changes, we'll email subscribers and post a notice on the site. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the new policy.
